First reports are that it was No. 6 as well as some homes are afire.
Apparently went in while in formation and at low altitude.

It was number six that went in. Name not officially released yet.

sad indeed...the angel team members are some special
navy talent...that's for sure !!!

i am thinking it was a bird strike or low level stall....it
was fast whatever the event was...as there was apparentally
no time to steer clear and punch out.....

thoughts and prayers to all effected......

Actually, it is being falesly reported that it was his first show. He was
the # 7 pilot last season and has been # 6 since the first show at El Centro
this year in March.

Looking at the video that's going around the web it may very well be
a GLOC, he made a hard turn to join then the nose falls through ....
it's painful to watch.

G induced Loss of Concience.... too many G's black out, or even just
gray out at that alititude and it's bad news...

ok...roger that....

on a much smaller scale...my buddie did that to me
a few weeks ago in his extra stunt plane........i can
see how that would be quick and deadly...esp at a low
alt.....

yea...ha...good one....a good pilot can do some fun things w/g
forces....
the bob hoover video and glass of water comes to mind 1st...the
wallett
